Take some premium leathers and mash it up with two iconic sneakers, and you've got the sneakers you need right now.
Coach might not be the first brand that comes to mind when you think of "dope sneakers." But the storied leathergoods brand has been on a tear in the menswear game of late thanks to its new Creative Director Stuart Vevers, who has an ongoing love affair with shearling—at a reasonable price point, no less—that has set the brand apart from its wallets-and-bags past. But, being the modern, contemporary label they are, it makes sense Coach would also revamp its footwear lineup. In the case of this patchwork high-top, the results are, simply put, dope.
Patchwork sneakers don't always work, but when each of the sections is a different shade of rich brown—whether it be hazelnut, chocolate, caramel, or other delicious foods—the results are hard to mess up. It also helps when the sneaker itself has clear roots in not one, but two sneaker classics. Essentially, this is like if a Nike Air Force 1 and a Vans Half Cab had a baby and then sent that baby to private school. In other words, it's destined to make you a winner once you add it to your rotation. Or at the very least earn you some much-deserved double takes. And if you need any more proof that they look good, just take a look at how fresh they were on New York Giants wide out Odell Beckham, Jr. in our August issue.
