It's no secret that David Beckham's style mastery extends his airport outfits. (W've highlighted it many, many times before in case you need a refresher). His travel style is so good, in fact, that his Cool Teen™ son even stole some of his chill af airport style moves. And while we're not saying it's the sole reason we gave Becks our April cover ... well, let's just say it didn't hurt.

Anyway, Beckham is a stylish guy who travels a lot. But the move he pulled on a recent flight is an unprecedented one, and yet it's one that all men could learn something from. When Beckham arrived at LAX for his 12-hour trip to Japan, he was wearing a look typical of his laid-back-but-still-cool aesthetic, a pair of blue pants, a red Rolling Stones print T-shirt, a hat and shades.

However, when the soccer star/designer deplaned half-a-day later, he was wearing pretty much the same thing, save for one major exception: Beckham swapped out his rock band tee in favor for a plain white one (with his signature sleeve-roll). Mind blown, right?

We're only half-joking. While it seems like a small thing, and it is, it's the sort of low lift action that yields big results. While the average guy may not be mobbed at baggage claim by paparazzi, bringing a T-shirt to switch into during a long flight is a nice way to feel fresh once you hit your final port of call. It doesn't take much to toss an extra shirt in your carry-on to make sure you're looking your best — and more importantly, feeling your best — once you've spent a few hours in the air. And a full outfit change would be ridiculous, and difficult (though maybe not for Beckham who inevitably flies first class), a t-shirt swap is a cinch in the confines of an airport lavatory. Want to take it the next level? Bring your travel toothbrush on board and a small sample of face moisturizes and give yourself a brush and quick splash of water to the face before you strap in for your final descent. Then whoever is meeting you at your destination will wonder how the f*ck you look so damn fresh.
