Ben Affleck Loves This Jacket More Than He Loves Matt Damon

Can you blame him?

Ben Affleck isn’t really a style-obsessed dude so when it comes to his off-the-clock wardrobe, he’s not the person you’ll find wearing luxe leather slippers, round sunglasses, or cashmere turtlenecks. It’s more about baggy jeans, nondescript T-shirts, and his low-key Rag & Bone sneakers FTW (see also: having three kids under 11). There is one exception to this rule, however, and its Affleck’s Louis Vuitton leather bomber jacket.

Cut to fit him perfectly and as luxe as it gets (when the leather hangs more like silk, you know it's expensive), this shearling-collar jacket is a departure from Affleck’s nothing-to-see-here brand of normcore in the best way. Whether he’s rolling up to LAX at an ungodly hour or driving around in his 1966 Chevelle, the topper has a way of elevating his go-to basics without making it look like he’s putting on a show for the paps. In short: We don’t blame him for reaching for it so often.

There’s a lesson in here for guys who don’t exactly “dress up” unless etiquette absolutely demands it; buy yourself one great-looking fall coat for all the days when you don’t feel like trying. Once you make the purchase, you never have to think about it again, and you’ll look suit-level handsome in your laziest clothes.
