Here's What Vetements' First-Ever Sneakers Look Like

If you've never been to South Korea, now might be the time to hop on a plane and get there. 2016's hottest label (other than Gucci, of course) Vetements has an "Official Fake" garage sale taking place in the outskirts of Seoul. The shop was created to debut the brand's official collaboration with ecommerce site Matchesfashion, but the gear is only available in person. And halfway across the world.

Amongst the exclusives currently being sold at the store are a red hoodie, cap, and raincoat (which literally explains what a raincoat is on the back of the jacket). But the buzziest item is by far the brand's first pair sneakers, a take on the iconic Reebok Pump Fury. The sneaker, seen above, retails for $350.

True to form for Vetements, the brand's sneaker is part inside joke, part piping hot high fashion must-have. The shoes are an all-white take on the old school Reebok style and tell the wearer which shoe is the right one and which is the left. They also feature a small but price point-increasing Vetements logo on the tongue. We might have predicted a silhouette less specific for Vetements' first pair of kicks, but Reebok Classics are having a bit of a rebirth right now, thanks in part to Vetements family friend Gosha Rubchinskiy and Kendrick Lamar. And the truth is, doing the unexpected is one of the things the french label does best (and we'd say a warehouse pop-up shop in Korea created alongside an online store is as unexpected as it gets). The real question we want to know now is, where are the Reebok track suits at?
