Duh, he kills it.
Steven Yeun looks damn good in a tweed suit. The Walking Dead star recently took a model turn in GQ's November issue, showing you how to rock the season's coolest tweed suits five days a week. And then last night he followed it up by showing off his talent for the tailoring move on the red carpet at a special edition of the Talking Dead (warning: spoilers to follow). But we can't take all the credit.
Yeun's gray tweed suit and brown tweed tie proved the actor needs exactly nobody's help when pulling together a winning look. How'd he do it? First off, Yeun did right by choosing a suit in a modern slim cut and nailing the fit. Check out the slightly cropped hem of his pants, perfect for highlighting his mahogany leather cap-toe combat boots. Those boots add just the right amount warrior edge and of-the-moment style to his wooly outfit. Next, the actor went with a tie in matching tweed. But he smartly switched up the color to call out the brown of his boots and to keep things from feeling too one note.
Think a wool suit is too hot for Hollywood weather? Think again, the best part about fall's new tweed suits: their lighter look and feel means you won't roast in them. So they're good for the office, and great for suiting up in Hollywood. We're gonna miss seeing Yeun (or, really, Glenn) fight off zombies each week, but here's hoping he'll keep showing up on red carpets looking just as good.
