You Should Be Dressing Like Larry David Right Now (No, Seriously)

When it comes to style the comedian just gets it.

2016 is turning into a great year for "mature" gentlemen when it comes to all things style. The sartorially woke over-60 pack counts guys like Keith Richards and Jeff Goldblum as founding members and this year, actor, director, and writer Larry David joined those ranks. The funnyman wowed us at the Met Gala back in May in a black on black tux, dress shirt, and skinny tie. But despite his recent style upgrades, David hasn't sacrificed his unique style personality. Translation: his clothes still favor comfort and an unfussy "what you see is what you get" confidence. Most importantly, he's not trying to look like anything but the best version of himself.

Case in point, last night while dining in West Hollywood David wore a minimal yet cozy ensemble in tonal grays. His warm gray corduroys, black crewneck, unstructured blazer, and suede detail sneakers were the essence of refined comfort. The rich textures and almost metallic shades of the suede and corduroy elevated an otherwise simple outfit and the somewhat formal color palette kept it from looking like something a preppy dad would wear to Thanksgiving. When in doubt, limiting the colors in your outfit to just two or three will instantly make you look like you "get it". Add to that a pair of custom looking wire-rim glasses and you're no longer a dad, you're just an incredibly funny dude who knows how to look cool.
