Budweiser and PacSun Team Up to Sell Beer Culture to Teens

PacSun

We don't care—but moms might.

America's worst kept secret is that despite the law, kids under the age of 21 drink alcohol. (Sorry to burst your bubble, moms and dads—but the next time your high school-aged kid says their "spending the night at Greg's house" there's a good chance they're raiding Greg's parents stash of booze). PacSun has embraced these rebel teens—and of course adults—who dare to wear beer-themed clothes with a new Budweiser collection. Moms might not be happy, but if there's one thing teens like, it's annoying their parents. (One word of advice: maybe don't wear any of the pieces to school. This writer once dared to sport a Corona snapback to class [I know] and was ceremoniously sent to the principal's office.)

The iconic logo gear is made in collaboration with the recently-quiet collective Been Trill. Each of Been Trill's members—Virgil Abloh, Heron Preston, and Matthew Williams—have gone on to launch separate fashion ventures since the label first collaborated with PacSun back in 2013 (it's unclear what role exactly any of them had in this collection).

The collection features some undeniably cool pieces, especially in today's era of everything mass market and American is now fashionable, whether it's Alpha Industries bomber jackets, cargo pants, Timberland boots, and everyone's favorite '90s-era sportswear brands. What's more American than the King of Beers™? (Sidebar: Budweiser is technically owned by a Belgian company now, but as long as they keep releasing American flag cans people won't care.)

Some highlights in the offering include a Budweiser script logo hoodie (in brown and ivory), a bowtie logo tee, logo hats, and well, a whole lot of pieces that celebrate that famous script. Basically, in our logo'd out world, if you slap an iconic logo on pretty much anything it'll fly off the shelves. And whether it's the rebel teens or the of-age adults scooping it up, this stuff already is on its way to selling out.
