  • It's been a big year for the brand Stampd, which opened its first store in Los Angeles in April and was a finalist for the prestigious CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. And with just a few weeks left in 2016, the brand is now upping the ante with a special capsule collection with the retailer Barneys New York.

And with just a few weeks left in 2016, the brand is now upping the ante with a special capsule collection with the retailer Barneys New York.

  • Known as the Barneys New York XO STAMPD 130 Collection, the offering consists of four pieces — a t-shirt, a pair of cargo pants, a parka, and a bomber jacket — and all of which make use of an overdye process that gives them a faded patina of age.   • "Being a digitally-focused brand from the beginning, I’ve always wanted to take what we do on our digital platforms and bring that experience to life," Stamp says. "Now, being able to do that, we’re seeing what products people are drawn to in-store, and have a team who can really explain our story in person. It’s not only something we’ve seen our customer benefit from, but our team has also learned a great deal about who our customer is on a personal level and exactly what it is they love about the brand."

  • "We chose products that were fall staples for us, but we really wanted to add something special to the collection to give it an elevated vibe," Stamp says of the pieces he designed for the capsule collection.

  • "Once you move to Southern California it’s hard place to leave. Being in LA you can make just about anything, apparel-wise, so it’s great place to be from a development and production standpoint," Stamp says.

  • "Working with Barneys and being and able to see our product now in their stores really has been a goal of ours since the beginning," Stamp says. "When we decided we wanted to distribute on this level, Barneys has been the pinnacle store for us and now for us to not only have our inline collection, being sold in store but also to collaborate with them on our 130 collection in store is amazing."

  • "We’re currently gearing up for our show this coming February, which we’re really excited about, and our 4th Stampd Athletics by Puma collection will also be launching early 201," Stamp says of things to keep an eye out for. "Of course, we’re always looking for interesting partners and have a few really amazing collaborations we’re working on for next summer."
