How to Look Damn Presidential Every Day of the Week

Give you the nuts and bolts of how to get the look into your wardrobe. Today we're celebrating the most dignified type of suit we know. The made in America presidential navy-blue classic, that also happens to be perfect for fall.

Now that summer has come to its unofficial close, men across the country are trading in their surf-inspired casual wear for something a little more work oriented. And with Barack Obama's departure from the White House drawing nearer and nearer, there's no better time than now to take suit style inspiration from the guy. Let's be real, whether it's Hilary Clinton or Donald Trump, the quality of our next President's menswear won't ever be as good as it is right now.

A navy-blue suit and slightly lighter blue tie may not seem like a fashion revolution. But when you're busy being the President of the United States you don't really need your suit to be radical. What you do need, is for it to look like authority. That means classic colors (navy blue and white), integrity of craft (made in the U.S.A.), and a modern slim fit (tailor on speed dial). The trick to keeping this simple combination interesting is the texture in the tie, and the quality of wool in the suit. POTUS is known to favor Chicago-based suit makers Hart Schaffer Marx. But you can find other U.S. brands that make great classic suiting here at home too. And if you find a brand that fits you really well, do like Obama and start a relationship with them. Who knows, one day they might be bragging that they've had the honor of dressing you since the very beginning. And you'll feel good for supporting them.
