No One Is More Excited About the Golden Age of Pants than Jude Law

Dude is leaning way in on wide-legged trousers right now. Should you?

In the past few years, men's pants have gone from ball-crushingly slim to unapologetically wide legged. And there's no one who's more in favor of this shift than Oscar-nominated actor Jude Law.

Law, who's currently promoting his new HBO Series The Young Pope, showed up to the show's London premiere on Thursday night wearing what can only be described as a pair of wool palazzo pants. If the trousers that have been coming down the runway in recent seasons are loose, these are extra loose: the sartorial equivalent of a really nice double-wide trailer.

But this isn't Law's only instance of, uh, below-the-belt largess. He's been wearing big-boy pants for pretty much every stop of The Young Pope's promotional tour. Here he is at an event for the show in Madrid:

Whatever the case, it makes watching the red carpet pretty interesting—and it has us re-considering our devotion to the very slim leg.
