What's The Deal with Kanye West's Mysterious New Sweatpants?

The rapper can't stop wearing these Adidas "Calabasas" sweats.

Kanye West has been in a sweatpants mood for a while now. Ever since he discovered the wonders of fleece trousers and all things military surplus (by our estimate: mid-2014), he's been dedicated to oversized dad-like coziness while wearing clothes hypebeasts can't get enough of. He's rocked sweats from his own brand Yeezy, Gosha Rubchinskiy, Off-White, and of course Adidas, though his new Adidas sweatpants aren't the ones you'll find at your local sporting goods store. Rather, his feature a mysterious side detail in the form of a Pagal font "Calabasas" print, as well as a new Adidas Calabasas logo next to the standard Adidas logo. But as of right now, these sweats are no where to be found for purchase, despite the fact that some pairs have surfaced on social media.

So what's the deal? Last month, Kim Kardashian teased the Calabasas line on her Snapchat, though at the time she said it was for kids only. But it seems that now some big boy versions are in existence, and come in colors like black/red, navy/red, burgundy/orange, and most recently, green/gold. Point is, they look insanely cozy and we want a pair right now. Here's our one caveat: In some up-close shots of the sweats, it's obvious that the Calabasas portion is merely stitched on top of the Adidas stripes, which could mean these are just Adidas sweatpants that have been altered. We reached out to Adidas for more info, which declined to comment.

However, given the unique colorways, it could also just mean these are samples that West is road-testing until he's ready to release them to the public. But if you're looking to get the style right now, you could always snag a pair from Modell's on sale for $25. Bonus points if you rock them tucked into your socks Yeezy style.
