So you're a veteran.
[Laughs] I wish! I'm still a rookie. It was all about confidence, confidence in yourself, man. You gotta just have fun.
What's your favorite front row interaction at Paris Fashion Week been so far? Is there anyone you've met that you've been bugged out about?
No, not really. Most of the people out here I've met before, but it's just dope to reconnect with certain people and enjoy the shows and go to the parties and whatnot, you know?
How does it feel to represent BMX in the fashion world?
It feels great. Honestly, fashion and style in general were so important to me growing up. Even the presentation when I think about what I want to wear when I'm going out to ride, it all kinds of goes together, you know?
So it sounds similar to skateboarding in that regard, but obviously BMX has gotten less of a look from fashion.
Definitely. The thing about me is I'm always out filming. So I want my bike to look right. I want my fit to be right. I want all that to come together on screen and be amazing and impactful. So the thought of what I'm wearing and how I'm styling myself is extremely important. There's definitely a lot of skateboard influence in the fashion world and not as much BMX. So hopefully I can impact that a bit and represent BMX a bit more in the fashion world.
I know you checked out the new Harley that debuted at the SSS show today. What’s the review?
Oh, the bike is incredible. I love anything on two wheels, motorcycles, bicycles. The Harley is sick man, I love the direction that they're going in and how they’re elevating as a brand. Justin O'Shea rode the Harley down the runway today, and it's super quiet, as silent as possible for a bike. So that's super cool.
Do you ride motorcycles at all? Or do you normally stick to the BMX bike?
I'm usually on my BMX bike but I'll get on a motorcycle here and there.
Anything on two wheels. You should give the electric Harley a spin—I was watching YouTube videos of it earlier and it looks sick.
Hold on, it's all electric!? I did not know that! That makes sense why it's so quiet. [Laughs] The fact that Harley is making electric bikes—that's super cool man.
What’s the relationship between BMX riders and and bikers? Do you guys fuck with each other?
There's a lot of BMX riders who transition away to riding motorcycles and stuff and there's some people who do both. At the end of the day it's a bicycle, bro, and the feeling that the bike gives you is truly incredible whether it's a bicycle or a motorbike. No beef, it's all love.
And how are you going to celebrate your big Paris fashion week runway debut?
I'm going to celebrate it by going to the GQ party tonight!
