Kanye West Has New Adidas Sneakers, but They're Not Yeezys

New Yeezy x Adidas, if not technically Yeezys.

Kanye West's Yeezy Season 4 made headlines last week for a number of reasons, most of them not great. Still, Kanye West isn't the kind of guy who gives up just because of criticism. If anything, he just moves on the next sneaker drop/album/twitter proclamation. And his next project appears to be a brand new fashion line in the works with wife Kim Kardashian West: A graphic-heavy sportswear label called Calabasas. Last week, Kim took to her Snapchat to unveil early pieces from the collaborative Adidas collection, while West was spotted in New York wearing a pair of Calabasas-branded Adidas track pants. Additionally, at a performance in New York, West wore an old-school white Adidas sneaker with the word Calabasas printed in small text on them.

Named after the tony suburban town where the Kardashian-Wests, most of the Kardashians, and Drake (and the HQ of his favorite cheesecake spot) reside, the brand could be West's foray into kid's clothing, which he's expressed interest in before. (And there's no doubt North West is one of the best-dressed kids on the planet, if one of the only ones with a genuine Supreme box logo T-shirt.) As for the sneakers, at first glance they may seem to be a Reebok classic, but are actually an Adidas Powerphase, a style that first debuted for the three stripes in 1988. (It should also be noted that Adidas owns Reebok.)

So, little is known about what Calabasas could be, when it will debut, or what sneakers will be included in the collaboration. But there's a little hooded anorak in the mix, and the aforementioned track pants, that we hope are made in big boy sizes.
