This Is the Right Way to Dress Like the Person You're Dating

Zachary Quinto and Miles McMillan are knocking this out of the park.

The thing about spending a lot of time with someone is that you tend to pick up on (and adopt) their habits, their tastes in terrible reality TV, and—eventually—their personal style.

It's happened to countless couples, both famous (remember Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston?) and non-famous alike. And usually, it means wearing near-carbon copies of the clothes in your partner's closet.

But that's not the case with model Miles McMillan and his actor boyfriend Zachary Quinto (who you may know as Spock from the current spate of Star Trek movies). Instead of wearing exactly the same thing to a party celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Hugo Boss Prize for artists on Thursday night, the two donned similar shapes in different colors and materials. McMillan opted for a black-and-white houndstooth jacket with black trousers and a red turtleneck, and Quinto chose a deep purple tweed suit with a black turtleneck. (In one fell swoop, both of them nailed the important fall knitwear trend that's taking over guys' closets everywhere, but that's another post for another time.)

So while they're not exactly in boyfriend twin territory, they are wearing outfits that are decidedly complementary. And that's ultimately one of the things you want out of a relationship: someone who enhances your look as much as you do theirs.
